Lead Time & Dispatch

Arrival dates for pre-order products listed on our website are estimated only and can vary due to global supply chain, and the nature and production time of our goods.

In Stock items

• This means your item is currently in stock at one of our suppliers warehouses located in either Sydney or Brisbane and will be dispatched by our team within 10-14 business days of the date your order is placed.
• If your order includes pre-order items your order will be held until they arrive so that all items can be sent together.
• Once dispatched, your item will be collected by our third-party courier service. As such, delivery times may vary depending on location and the courier service selected

Pre-order items

• We work with a third-party businesses partner, and as a result, a significant portion of our inventory is located in Sydney. Once you place an order, it will depart form the Sydney warehouse and be sent out to our Brisbane facility for dispatch.
• Your items will be dispatched from our warehouse by the end of the month listed on the product page at the time of placing your order. For example, if item on our website states "This item is on pre-order and will be dispatched November" than you can expect your goods to be dispatched to you by the 30th of November.
• The date the goods arrive at our warehouse is subject to change due to its reliance on many factors, sometimes resulting in unexpected delays
• As much as possible we will update you by email on any changes to the arrival date. Should you have any concerns or need to change your delivery address please email us at info@houseofbrown.com.au

Delivery

• A street address for delivery must be provided at the time of placing the order, we are unable to deliver to a PO Box.
• Should your delivery address change, it is your responsibility to let us know prior to dispatch by emailing info@houseofbrown.com.au. If your order is sent to the incorrect address and returned to our QLD warehouse, a redelivery fee may apply.
• House of Brown reserves the right to request extra freight contributions for remote/rural areas or for large/heavy orders.

Furniture Delivery

• We are pleased to offer standard local delivery to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Northern NSW, the Sunshine Coast & Gold Coast
• We offer a flat rate of $150 AUD for standard local delivery
• If you require a premium local delivery service (installation & rubbish removal) please contact info@houseofbrown.com.au
• If you require delivery to other regions not listed please contact info@houseofbrown.com.au
• House of Brown reserves the right to request extra freight contributions for remote/rural areas or for large/heavy orders.

Standard Local Delivery Inclusions:

• Delivered to room of choice 
• Rubbish removal and assembly is not included
• A drill is required for self assembly
• Must be present at time of delivery

What to expect:

• When your order arrives to our QLD warehouse you will receive a phone call to arrange delivery. Please allow anywhere from 1-3 business days to book a day that suits you.
• A three-hour delivery window is provided for the selected day.
• On the day of delivery, you will receive an additional notification when the driver is 30 minutes away
• Our delivery partners will then contact you and provide a scheduled delivery date. This usually involves 24-48hrs notice.

Smaller Item Delivery 

• We offer free standard delivery for all smaller items
• We are pleased to offer standard postal delivery to Queensland & New South Wales postcodes

Local Pick Up

• We offer local pick up from our warehouse in Moffat Beach QLD 4551
• You will be able to select pick up as your fillfillment option at time of checkout
• Our team will contact you by email once your order is ready to collect, and you must be available to pick up with item within 10 business days from that date.
• We require 24 hours notice of your intended collection day and you will need to ensure that you or your courier have suitable size vehicle for your order.

Fabric Upholstery

• Regularly vacuum your fabric to lift dirt
• Do not place furniture in direct sunlight as this can cause the colour to fade.
• Regularly rotate or plump cushions to ensure even distribution of fill
• For anything larger than spot cleaning we suggest using a professional service for the best results.

Spot Cleaning

• Treat spills as soon as possible
• Use a damp cloth to gently dab and lift spills
• For tough stains contact a professional cleaner
• Always spot check fabric before cleaning

Leather 

• Wipe the leather weekly with a damp cloth to clean away dirt and help to protect the leather.
• For stains we recommend contacting a professional cleaner
• Leather will naturally soften over time

Teak Wood Raw

• Use a dry cloth to absorb spills straight away
• You can oil or wax any of our raw teak pieces if you choose
• Oiling and waxing your raw products will richen their colour and make them a little more robust against marks
• Re-treat your timber every 6-12 months or as needed

Teak Wood Waxed

• Use a dry cloth to absorb spills straight away
• Re-treat your timber every 6-12 months or as needed 

Rattan

• Wipe with a damp cloth when needed
• To keep rattan hydrated we recommend spraying with water and wiping down with a damp cloth every 6-12 months

Cane

• Wipe with a damp cloth when needed

Polished Brass

• Our brass is not coated which means it will tarnish over time as the air oxidises it
• You can polish back your brass with the product Brasso or if you prefer a natural method dissolve as much salt as you can in lemon juice then apply to brass with a flannel cloth

Antiqued Brass, Chrome & Powder Coat

• Wipe regularly with a damp cloth
• We do not recommend using harsh cleaning products as this can damage the finish 

Glazed Ceramic

• Wipe regularly with a damp cloth to remove dirt. For tough marks or stains use a mild detergent

Unglazed Ceramic

• Use a microfiber cloth or duster to lightly dust the ceramic regularly to remove dust and dirt
